Based in the United States, New Zealand-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Estella Dawn, releases her latest single, ‘Trolls.’
Fans of Dawn resonate with her intimate lyricism and can expect a healthy dose of truth from ‘Trolls’—a track that explores the darker side of the World Wide Web. Set against a backdrop of moody melodies, ‘Trolls’ offers up powerful vocals that exude seduction and mystery.
Estella Dawn shares, "The internet is an incredible and diverse platform, especially for creatives. The ability to interact online, to watch, listen and engage with people and their content is amazing. However, the wonderful web also has a dark side, and one aspect I've always struggled to understand is trolling.
“I truly believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I don’t in any way expect people to like everything they see or hear. However, what I think is unfortunate is the desire for some people to tear others down, seemingly, just because they can. ‘Trolls’ is essentially a reflection on this unwanted negative attention that I, and I’m sure many others, sometimes experience online," explains Dawn.
Dawn has quickly become a U.S. tour de force. The savvy singer manages every aspect of her music, recording her own vocals/piano and co-producing all of her songs. Her music has appeared on the Mediabase Radio Top 40 chart and has been featured on numerous Spotify playlists.
In 2018, she garnered rave reviews for her first EP, Dancing Girls. By the end of 2019, she had written and produced 8 solid singles. 2020 was a year of growth for Dawn; she cultivated her unique style and released a new single every six weeks. Her first single of 2021, ‘Petty,’ was released on January 14, followed by ‘Trolls.’
Dawn is set to hit the studio mid-2021 to record and produce a full-length album alongside a band. In the meantime, fans can expect a steady flow of amazing singles from the inventive artist.
