Singer songwriter LEEPA releases ‘Switch Places’ — an anthem dedicated to women for National Women’s Day this year. ‘Switch Places’ is an introspective approach to starting discussions around women equality and sexism in todays modern society.
LEEPA shares…
"I have questions, visions and answers – and I have something to say on behalf of everyone who suffers from sexism. Most importantly, I want to be heard. Music is an incredibly interesting way of communication. For me as an artist, it’s the main medium for processing and talking about my emotions."
The young artist is creating beautiful, artistic, melodious, and of course catchy food for thought. The new single expresses the frustration yet support for women to achieve their dreams and find happiness even if it requires far more work than their male counterparts.

"Sexism, like all kinds of oppression, is unacceptable, we all know that. Yet it remains. It remains because the oppressors (whether consciously or unconsciously) see no reason to change anything. As we all realize in the racism debate, it can be very difficult to admit being part of a system that draws its impetus from the oppression and exploitation of 'minorities'. While it is very unfortunate and frustrating to still have to fight for equality and representation, we will not give up. Communication, in my opinion, is still the most important tool of such debates. That’s why I wrote a song about it, and I want to inspire all genders and ages to stand strong - to be strong."
As an artist and individual, LEEPA is spreading and encouraging self love, conducting inspirational and motivational acts of kindness, and gaining control over one’s life. After facing problems with race, drugs, sexism throughout her youth, LEEPA takes the stage self-empowered, spreading her love of hip-hop and indie pop music, and pursuing a thoughtful and electrifying music career.
