Los Angeles, CA — Producer and songwriter, Glashrs, and musician, songwriter, producer, and engineer, Drew Taylor, drop alluring hip-hop single, “Black Paint,” out now on all major platforms. Stream "Black Paint" today on Spotify, here!

Glashrs joins Drew Taylor for the release of their latest single, “Black Paint”—a grungy hip-hop track with an upbeat rhythm, relatable lyrics and a unique bassline.

Unlike previous collaborations from Glashrs and Taylor, “Black Paint” exudes a darker rock vibe with a hip-hop feel.

“I found a lot of inspiration from The Rolling Stones for this song. They reference the word black in a lot of their music, and so do many other rock legends; so it made sense to create this unique vibe we were going for,” shares Taylor.

Although Glashrs is known for his unparalleled synth sounds, he explains that “Sometimes keeping it simple is key, so I decided to keep the drop out of this one—but stay tuned, because there will be a remix.”

Originally from South Florida, Glashrs is a rising producer and songwriter who was introduced to music at a young age by his dad, who also taught him how to play the guitar. While enrolled in guitar lessons when he was just six years old, he was committed to playing every single day. By the time middle school rolled around, his hard work and determination had paid off. He went on to become the lead guitarist for a band that his guitar teacher formed with a group of fifth graders.

After relocating to California during middle school, Glashrs lost interest in playing guitar, as he spent most of his time playing video games instead. However, when he moved back to Florida, his close friend Kevin introduced him to beat-making; it soon became a great passion of his.

By his sophomore year of high school, Glashrs had taught himself how to play the piano and create music with FL Studio. His first ever self-produced song, “Falling,” was a collaboration that he did with his twin sister Cory, who is a singer-songwriter as well. The siblings have worked on several songs together, and lately, they have been collaborating with their mutual friend, Taylor.

Drew Taylor is a diverse artist that grew up surrounded by varied musical influences and styles, from rock and rap, to metal and alt-country. After enrolling as a bass guitarist in a local music school, Taylor had finally found his calling. Within weeks, he’d made his way into performing live for the next five years on bass, drums, guitar and vocals.

Upon graduating from high school, he became fascinated by beat-making, realizing that he had a natural talent for it. He then attended a musical school with his best friend in Indianapolis, back in 2019. Following his completion of the program, he obtained an internship at a studio in Atlanta. The experience made him realize what he needed to do: create his own music.

When his internship ended, he had a short stint in college, where he joined a club for songwriting and rapping. There, he built a loyal group of local friends and artists who supported his work and performances. Taylor has written, recorded, and performed numerous original songs, and is scheduled to drop a couple of new releases this year.
