Los Angeles based alt-rock group Rivals release their sophomore LP Sad Looks Pretty on Me available everywhere. The LP was debuted alongside a moving cinematic music video ‘Change Things ft. Dutch Melrose’ below. Rivals have been leading their fans on a cryptic adventure with visualizers for ‘Lavenders,’ ‘Fake Rich ft. Elijah Witt,’ and ‘Strawberries.’

Vocalist Kalie Wolfe shares…

"3 years. That’s how long we worked on this record. 100 songs, that’s how many instrumentals we wrote, over 35 with vocals. We spent so many hours in the studio with different people to create a diverse and crazy range of songs that somehow still sound like RIVALS. ‘Sad Looks Pretty on Me’ is a step into another world. We hope you enjoy the dive from pop to metal, from emo rap/rock to post-hardcore, and everything in between. Don’t forget, happy is temporary, but make those moments of sadness look good on you. You’re strong. You’re amazing. And you’re worth it."

Drawing inspiration from pop-rock and post-hardcore and seamlessly blending, Rivals produced a project full of club hits, sneering snares, hard hitting bass lines, and a unique yet enamoring taste. The alt-rock group displays hit tracks such as ‘On the Loose,’ and ‘Little Mistakes’ thus highlighting their dynamic production abilities from synth-rock to even alt-metal.
