Singer, songwriter, and hip-hop artist Rekka teams up with King Thayo on 4/20 anthem “Light One Up” released alongside official music video. The raggae hip-hop single features international performing artist King Thayo.

Rekka, best known for her down-to-earth personality and energetic and engaging live performances, delivers the uplifting and positive single “Light One Up” to celebrate 4/20 the right way!

The single is released alongside an official video shot by Diondre Collins of Collective Films. The opening scene takes place in Portland, which sees Rekka shopping at the local dispensary Cannabis Curb. Co-artist King Thayo makes his debut in the visual playing the role of the shop’s business owner, where he and Rekka meet for the first time. Viewers are then transported to a dark club, known as Area 51 in Vancouver, WA. Here the two artists are surrounded by dancers and vibing to the offering, fully capturing the energy the track brings. “The greatest part about this video is how many people were able to come together to make this video a reality,” says Rekka.

“Light One Up” continues Rekka’s momentum from her previous 2021 EP Diamond in the Ruff as well as her most streamed single to date, “You Been Sayin’ (Remix)” a collaboration featuring co-artists Freddie Scrillz and Exurt Beatz.

Stay tuned for more from the budding artist as Rekka continues to deliver positive, feel-good messages across the PNW area and beyond.
