Swedish songwriter and producer, Ola Svensson (best known as Brother Leo), releases his latest single, “Naked,” which is the second single from his forthcoming debut album, scheduled for release in 2022.
A spirited ode to love, the track features smooth lyrics set against a melodious soundscape of poppy beats. The track was written in London, which has been Brother Leo’s home base for the last couple of years. It was also co-written and produced by Fred Gibson, whose credits include: Max Martin, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.
According to Brother Leo, ““Naked” is about meeting someone that blows your mind and completely undresses you, emotionally and literally.”
Brother Leo made a name for himself with his single “Strangers on an Island,” a gold-plated hit produced by legendary British dance musician, Fatboy Slim. Since then, Brother Leo has collaborated with top songwriters and producers from all around the world. He has also become a hot topic of conversation, with Music Week announcing him as their “Next Wave” in 2020 and describing him as “a maverick swimming against the tide, creating his own lane in the world of pop music. A non-conformist refusing to be confined to what a generic pop star should be like.”
In 2020 Brother Leo teamed up with Sandro Cavazza (Avicii’s singer), and released the single “Sad Child.” The track found wild success, with over 17 million plays on Spotify and heavy rotation on both Swedish and international radio stations. His single “People,” premiered by Swedish PSL, was no exception either. It broke the Top 100 on German radio charts and it is still being rotated on Swedish radio stations P3 and Rix FM Fresh.
Brother Leo continues to bend and break barriers of sound and style in the genre. His upcoming debut album will be accessible through a string of singles in 2021 until the full album drops in 2022.
