LA actor and singer-songwriter, Austin P. McKenzie, releases his latest single, ‘Summer of Love,’ featured on his upcoming album, Somewhere in Space—scheduled to drop mid-2021.
The soon-to-be summer anthem is an upbeat track that pays tribute to the blithe days of youth, when young love reigned supreme. McKenzie’s airy vocals contribute to the track’s retro vibes and will have listeners of all ages crooning along.

“‘Summer of Love’ is a 60’s pop/folk-infused record that as you dance to it in your living room with the lights off, it will transport you back to a time when you were younger and care-free; A time when the world was wide open and there was nothing but love and possibility.”
Known for his lamenting melodies, McKenzie released his unforgettable debut album, Melancholy, in the summer of 2019; he went on to release his sophomore album, Nightshade, in January of 2020. Songs from the album, including: ‘Sex Drive,’ ‘Winter,’ and ‘Dark. Black. Heart.,’ signify the artist’s ability to navigate through the more dismal areas of life, by use of creative expression.
With the release of his third studio album, Somewhere in Space, McKenzie tilts his hat toward late ‘60s Laurel Canyon, drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Fleetwood Mac, The Mamas and the Papas, and Pink Floyd. The much-anticipated album will surely be filled with one hit track after another.
