ALONZO releases his latest single, “Black Boy Destiny.” Featuring strong, yet, delicate vocals and enchanting instrumentals, the commanding track preaches empowerment.
“The song is an anthem to inspire all young Black men to succeed against the odds, and was created as part of Movember's “Rooted & Rising Collective,” shares ALONZO.
“It's no secret that historic and systemic racism in the U.S. has created an environment in which Black men are significantly more likely to experience trauma in their upbringing. Our trauma is also likely to be more severe than any other race. Healing from trauma is an ongoing process in my adult life. Despite all of the challenges that I've had to overcome, I am so grateful to be living my dreams. I want to remind all young black men that they, too, can live theirs,” ALONZO explains.
Small-town boy, ALONZO, has taken the world by storm with his captivating sound. The America’s Got Talent semi-finalist was the first lead singer ever approved by Prince’s estate to perform on a celebratory tour for the iconic late artist—4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince. The talented singer has also done background vocals for Christina Aguilera.
With great determination and commitment to his craft, ALONZO has become a fan favorite, with four sold-out tours all across Asia. He’s also performed at many renowned live-music venues in Los Angeles, including Whisky a Go Go and The Viper Room.
