Alexa Villa and Colie Hutzler Release Reflective Pop Rock Single “Bored”

Los Angeles, CA — LA-based singer-songwriter Alexa Villa unites with Colie Hutzler of Beauty School Dropout on their latest pop rock single “Bored” — streaming now on all major platforms.

Hailing from San Diego and currently residing in Los Angeles, Alexa Villa is a Mexican American multi-instrumentalist with impressive talent on guitar, synth, and piano (where she learned the instrument's fundamentals at seven years old). The artist has been busy crafting her skills as a vocalist, composer, and producer for countless years -- it shows on "Bored."

“Bored” features the captivating vocals of Colie Hutzler from L.A.'s alt-rock band Beauty School Dropout, and is a result of Villa's collaborative production with Ian Walsh (Upsahl, Phem). The final product was then mixed by Adam Hawkins (Twenty One Pilots, Machine Gun Kelly, Demi Lovato) to perfection.

Villa shares, “We have so many songs about heartbreak and relationship breakups, but what about the best friend breakup?! Sometimes those hurt worse.”

After long and thoughtful consideration, Villa came to understand that some people have nothing better to do than spread negativity about those who are happy with their lives. This song allowed her to come up with the realization that if these kinds of people devoted themselves into improving themselves and embracing positivity instead, they wouldn't find enough time for criticizing other content individuals.

With a unique combination of alt-rock and vivid synth pop, Villa's music is filled with an infectious energy that empowers listeners to be true to themselves—unapologetically loud and unabashedly imperfect. Through her vibrant songs, she encourages people everywhere to accept their "madness" while also inspiring them on their journey towards greatness.
